Style This Way Contest: JIBRI Dawn Dress

Woot! I recently received my JIBRI Dawn Dress with the swagged hip detail and I must say I am in love. This dress is so friggin fierce and comfortable. I will debut the dress later this year in October when I go to Vegas for my birthday!! The dress is made in high quality ponte knit and since it's long sleeve I figured it would be perfect for the cooler evenings on the strip. I opted to get the dress in sand, leaving me the versatility to use different colored accessories since it is neutral. I have a pair of shoes that match the dress but I am undecided if I will go with them.

About JIBRI and the designer Jasmine Elder:
Jasmine Elder of JIBRI is dedicated to creating garments for the fashion conscious curvy girl from sizes 14 – 24 . The pieces in her line vary in theme depending on the collection but all of them include classic construction and vintage inspiration. You simply can't find plus sizes pieces that look like this anywhere in the market place. I appreciate large scale retailers but I absolutely love the innovation of the independent designer.
Jasmine offers minor customizations of her pieces and is more than happy to change things like length and the sleeves if you ask. She can also make custom fit garments if you are in between sizes. Keep in mind you aren't shopping at ASOS here, each piece is handmade in Atlanta by Jasmine and typically ships 14-24 days after purchase, keep this in mind when ordering. Jasmine does sell samples occasionally and those can be delivered much sooner.
I absolutely ADORE Jasmine (she's cool peoples) and what her line represents. Take a look at her etsy store to view some of her pieces. Her online store has received quite a few awards like Best Plus Size Etsy Designer from About.com.
So now that I have given you a crash course in the JIBRI line, here is your chance to win a $50 USD gift gertificate towards any regular priced JIBRI item.

  1. Gorgeous! So very very classy. I am a fan of really bright colours, but love this neutral on you. And the shoes!!!! Don't get me started.

  2. Well, being a "Joisey" girl, I'm a big advocate of leopard print, though NOT being Jerseylicious, only done in moderation. So, for a night out in Sin City, I'd pair the dress with Sam Edelman "Lorissa". I'm also a bit of a punk rock girl so the spikes and studs and the meet that requirement for me. Now, you know a true "Joiseyian" considers animal print (or at least this one) to be a neutral so for a pop of color, I'd also do a bright colored clutch, like blood red, or even hot pink (to maintain true girliness). If you want to keep with the spike and stud theme, Rebecca Minkoff's "fling" comes in both aforementioned colors. For a more girly romantic, there's Jessica McClintock's "east/west full rose flap" in red. Good luck on your fashion quest! Shopaholics unite!! -Holly

  3. I would have to pair this gorgeous frock in a color-blocking fashion. Would wear it with purple platform heels, red chunky costume jewelry & a large purple clutch or envelope purse with yellow detailig.

  4. Very cute! I'm leaning towards pairing the sand color with turquoise. I love these shoes: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/jeffrey-campbell-downtown-bootie/3067896?keyword=jeffrey%20campbell&origin=searchresults&Search=True&SearchType=predictivesearch.

  6. I'd go with a tan belt classic but not boring! I'd then go for a bold shoe, cobalt blue or zingy orange. With lots of gold jewellery, especially a statement necklace. Would be gorgeous!
