Retail Confessions: Endless.com

My last post on retail confessions was all the way back in May, I have been laying low and watching my spending these past few months. Recently, I carefully ventured back out into the vast and delectable world of online shopping, this time in search of shoes! dun dun dun.

Essence's Top Twenty Brands for Curvy Girls Reaction

So recently Essence magazine online decided to impart their wisdom on the tippity top 20 brands for the plus size shopper. This contest must have been fixed cause some rock star retailers are missing (IGIGI, Kiyonna, hello). I don't market myself as a plus size blogger but I do know how to make it rain when it comes to shopping.
First a word of praise. The list comprised of not only well establed large scale retailers but independent designers, something I really appreciate as a consumer.

Style This Way Contest: JIBRI Dawn Dress

Woot! I recently received my JIBRI Dawn Dress with the swagged hip detail and I must say I am in love. This dress is so friggin fierce and comfortable. I will debut the dress later this year in October when I go to Vegas for my birthday!! The dress is made in high quality ponte knit and since it's long sleeve I figured it would be perfect for the cooler evenings on the strip. I opted to get the dress in sand, leaving me the versatility to use different colored accessories since it is neutral. I have a pair of shoes that match the dress but I am undecided if I will go with them.

So you have a biggish foot

Join the club. I wear a size 11 in US women's. That translates into about a UK 9 and EU 42. I can still find shoes but it takes alot of trial and error. I know the annoyance of shopping online and potentially returning things that don't fit, but in the end it saves me time, energy and a bit of sanity.

Asos Curve - bleh

Image for the Leonard Nemoy Full Body Project
I used to be a die hard Asos Curve fan, I celebrated in the streets along with my fellow curvy girls when Asos Curve was introduced. The clothing was just my style, in a perfect pricepoint and shipping to Berlin is only 4 Euros. Recently I find myself struggling with Asos Curve because I have a few fundamental issues with them as an online retailer.

Direction of the blog

Image from Colloborate Writer Blog

Just a heads up to my followers and people that come here from google, twitter or youtube. I will be expanding the blog to focus on additional interests such as plus size fashion, sewing/crafts, sprinkled with a bit of travel. I am sure to touch on topics such as fat politics and size acceptance and even share some details regarding how I try to stay healthy and live my best life. Boy, oh boy, that sounds overwelming and a bit much, but I do so much and I am passionate about many different things.
